I have now worked within the fitness industry for over 15 years; meeting, training and helping hundreds of people.

My goal is to have the most positive impact that I can on the lives of the people I work with; helping them become the healthiest, happiest version of themselves.

For me fitness is all about longevity. I’m passionate about helping people find the right balance; meaning they can enjoy their lives to the fullest while looking and performing how they want to.

It’s never to late and your never to old to get better.

You just have to make a start.


I started with James a little over a year ago after training on my own and getting nowhere. With his knowledge and expertise I have made vast improvements to my training and nutrition but more importantly getting visual results. I have even gone back to playing netball; something I never thought I would do. James has not only helped me get to the fitness levels needed for this but the confidence to take part in active sport again.

I lacked the motivation to train on my own on a daily basis. I also suffered from chronic shoulder pain that I had taught myself to live with. James designed sessions that were constantly challenging and full of variety, but protected the former injury. After getting great results I now see James 4 times per week, pain-free and look forward to every visit. This is part of my lifestyle now.

For both of us the thought of joining and even going to the gym was extremely daunting. James and all the team at No1 have been fantastic. We train with James twice per week and use the gym a further two times weekly using programmes written by James. We have both experienced fat loss and increased energy levels which has impacted our lives for the better. Coming to the gym is now an enjoyable experience and we genuinely feel like part of the No1 family.
