The cleanliness of our club has always been our priority, and we increased our in-house cleaning teams rota to ensure “thoughtout the day” cleaning, and we will be using the most advanced medical grade antiviral products to kill bacteria and viruses.

Sanitising stations in all studios and key points around the club.

Studios will be cleaned between classes using antiviral products. We will ask you to wipe down equipment you use before and after use.

We will be operating a strict one way entry and exit system. All staff will have temperatures taken before every shift, with masks and gloves available for those members who request them. All doors and windows will remain open to ensure maximum ventilation. In terms of signage, throughout the gym, floor markings will be down to provide clear guidance for social distancing. Finally, we will be closed every Sunday for foreseeable future to enable us to conduct a full deep clean each week.

General Usage FAQs

Do I need to make a booking in order to do a class or PT session?
Yes, all members will need to book in advance via the app to attend a class until further notice. Please arrive 10 mins before your class or PT session start time to allow for your temperature check, your check in and to make your way to the changing room. The booking window opens 48hrs in advance. During the initial opening period we ask that you limit your sessions to one per day.

Do I need to make a booking in order to visit the club?
As of now, we are awaiting further government advice on this matter, if you are unsure or have any further queries please contact the gym directly.

How often is everything cleaned?
We have increased our in-house cleaning teams rota to ensure “throughtout the day” cleaning and have stringent cleaning routines throughout all our club areas paying specific attention to high touch point areas and using accredited antiviral cleaning products. Double cleaning at each station will be closely monitored by your trainer.

Do I need to bring a water bottle?
There are water fountains to fill water bottles but not drink directly from them.

Are the showers open?
Yes, but where possible, we ask that members shower at home.

Is the sauna open?
No we have decided not to open the sauna immediately as this is a small space and harder to socially distance.

Group Exercise FAQs

Do I need to book all classes on the app?
Yes you will need to book all classes through the No1 app. Booking opens 48hrs before the class.  You can arrive 10 minutes before your class booking to allow time for temperature scanning and check in. All the usual booking and cancelling and no show rules apply.

Can I use the gym after my class?
Yes you can but we kindly ask that you limit your total session to 90 mins so that we can control capacity in the club.

How long are the classes?
All classes are now 45mins in length to allow for an immediate post-class deep clean.

When do you clean the studios?
Studios will be cleaned immediately after every class. Studio equipment is coated with a 30 day antiviral shield protection weekly and is also deep cleaned daily. We ask you to wipe down equipment you use before and after use. Plenty of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitiser will be available in all studios.

Will instructors be observing social distancing?
We have asked our instructors not to shake hands, or offer hands-on corrections in our studios. The team will focus on staying in one place in the studio, rather than walking the entire room. They will also wear face coverings at all times.

Will the classes be busy?
Class numbers will be limited to ensure there is plenty of room for you to social distance during the workout. We have also spread classes throughout the day for more flexible training.

Are all classes running?

For the foreseeable future all classes will be of the same ilk. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

Class numbers will be limited and must be booked in advance.
There will be no sharing of equipment between non same household attendees.
All equipment must be wiped down before and after use by each individual.

For now boxercise, bootcamp, circuits and S&C will not be delivered in the way you remember. Despite these strict measures our staff have the experience and skill set to deliver high energy, fun, varied workouts. Hopefully with time we can start to migrate back to the way things were. We thank you for your patience and we hope that you understand every measure that we take is in the best interest of every single member here at No1 Gym.

Personal Training FAQs

Who books my PT session?
PT booking will be made through our new app. Once booked they will be shown on the app so you can confirm the booking is secure. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session and make your way to our private studio.

Is the cancellation policy still the same?
There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. This is especially important right now, to protect the PT’s time and ensure other members can use the time slot if available.

I don’t think I can come to the club as often, can I try online PT?
Yes, we have an exciting online members area with exclusive workouts and nutrition packages as well as our 1-2-1 online coaching.
